We aim to offer the best available family medical care. We have a comprehensive range of streamlined medical facilities designed to give you the individual attention you need.

PRACTICE NURSES

Mrs Vimi Deakin RGN

In addition, each nurse has special areas of expertise and responsibility: family planning (including emergency contraception), smoking cessation and allergies, as well as the management of chronic disease such as asthma, diabetes, COPD and coronary heart disease. Employed by the practice. Vimi has a special interest in Diabetes, and is keen to make sure the care of our patients who have diabetes is as streamlines and well organised as possible.

DISTRICT NURSE

Belgravia District Nurse Team
District nurses provide a specialist nursing service to individuals who are housebound. They assess the nursing needs of patients, advise about care and convalescence after discharge from hospital, and give advice and support to carers. Employed by the PCT. There are other specialist nurses, such as the Childrens Home Care Team, and the team from Trinity Hospice, who can be called on if the need arises.

HEALTH VISITORS

Ms Margaret O'Neill
Health visitors specialise in child, family and community health, including health promotion and health education. They work with the rest of the primary health care team to help you to help yourself lead as healthy a lifestyle as possible and reduce the risk of illness or premature death from preventable causes. Employed by the PCT.

COUNSELLOR

Caroline Chorlton Liason Psychiatric Nurse
A counsellor is attached to the practice offering a valuable and confidential service. Or you can be referred for Counselling within the practice

RECEPTION STAFF

These front-line staff work in a busy environment and frequently have to deal with difficult and distressing situations. They are trained to help you and, in order to do so quickly and appropriately, they may have to ask for information about your condition or other personal details.  Ms Sarah Harcher and Ms Lucy Giles organise registrations, appointments, prescription requests, and various other matters such as passport signing. You can get your laboratory and x-ray results from them, in most cases, once the clinical staff have decided on what action , if any, is needed. You should let Sarah and Lucy know , in confidence, if your problem is urgent, so they can make sure you are seen quickly.
