Dr Victoria Muir's Practice   Belgrave Medical Centre

Local eHealth records

Local eHealth Records are already being used in other parts of the country and are soon to be piloted with GPs in Westminster. They will allow Dr Muir and her Colleagues and Staff to access a secure website in order to see what has happened to you in Hospital and other Healthcare places.

Local eHealth Records will enable us directly to access the results of Hospital investigations and tests so our practice staff will not need to chase up hospital letters or lab results and will reduce the number of tests which are sometimes repeated simply because the results of the initial investigation/tests were lost/not shared. Only Healthcare staff directly involved in your care will be able to look at your Local eHealth Record and they will ask your permission before they view it. “ Sensitive” information will not be included.

You will receive a letter from the practice in the near future, giving you the option to opt out of this new venture. We hope that you will feel confident enough not to opt out, as our intention is to improve the quality and efficiency of our patient care. However, please be reassured that if you do decide to opt out, we will respect your decision. If you decide to opt out and later change your mind, then simply contact us to let us know.

You can opt out or opt back in at any time.
